Cuello Stops Chaiyong in 9th Round!

The excitement lasted till the ninth round. That was when "The Excitement" decided to come to a climax.

WBC International minimumweight titlist Denver “The Excitement” Cuello won against Samat Chaiyong of Thailand via 9th round technical knockout.


Chaiyong played defensive boxing early on, circling around and around to avoid Cuello's fists. But Cuello finally caught up with the elusive Thai in the fourth round and began punishing him. The fifth to eight round featured more punishment being doled out from Cuello.

In the ninth round, Cuello managed to trap Chaiyong in a corner  began beating him up. Referee Bruce McTavish jumped in to save the Thai from permanent injury.
