Meet Metta World Peace!

Formerly known as Ron Artest, NBA player. That is, if the LA courts approves his request.

Ron Artest filed for the name change, citing personal reasons for doing so.

Nothing surprises me anymore, when it comes to Artest. In his NBA career, he's instigated the worst player against fan brawl and yet, he's also won awards for community service.

World B. Free, watch out!

Stephen Jackson a Buck, Magette A Bobcat, Salmons a King (Again!)!

The 2011 NBA Draft proved to be one of the more exciting drafts as a three team trade was consumated right around the 7th pick of the 1st round.

Marcus Douthit Gets Ok From FIBA!

As far as FIBA is concerned, Marcus Douthit is now as Pinoy as balut.

In a letter to Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), the FIBA Sport and Eligibility Committee has recognized Douthit's citizenship and has determined that he is eligible to play for the Philippine national team.

This piece of good news was sorely needed as Fil-Am guard Marcio Lassiter re-injured his back during scrimmages and has been ruled out of the SEABA tournament.

Pinoy Dragon Boat Rowers Are Pauper-Champions!

If a team wins the world championship in 2007, defends its title in 2009 and is still the team to beat in 2011, don't you think they deserve a little recognition?

Evidently, we Pinoy don't. And that is why our world champion Pinoy Dragon Boat rowers are reduced to begging for funding so they can defend their title this August in Tampa Bay, USA.

Calling P-Noy, MVP, Go Teng Kok and other sports benefactors!!! Can we please give our champions a chance?

V-League Only Has 4 Teams!

What is happening to the Shakey's V-League?

This is the question that comes to mind as 4 teams, all of them V-League pioneers, begged off from the second conference of the V-League's Season 8.

La Salle and UST, former V-League champions who were both absent in the first conference, were joined in the sidelines by another set of former champions, namely Adamson and FEU. All four teams cited the academic load of their student-athletes as reasons for not participating.

Millions would love to watch the Big Aristotle doing the dirty deed. Fortunately, none will get to see it as it has already been erased.
