DRAFT OVER, NOW LET'S TRADE!

The last couple of days leading up to the draft, hoop lines were burning up with the possiblities of a Bulls-Heat trade of picks.

Well, the draft id done and there's no deal. Doesn't mean there won't be one though.

So here's my two cents on how to make a deal between the Bulls and Heat happen.

TRADE HUGHES AND DENG FOR MARION AND DORELL WRIGHT/MARK BLOUNT!

If that happens, Bulls starters will be Rose, Hinrich, Marion, Gooden and Noah. Their reserves will be Gordon, Sefolosha, Nocioni, Thomas, Wright/Blount and Gray.

For the Heat, they get a starting lineup of Hughes, Wade, Deng, Haslem/Beasley, Mourning.
Reserves will be Williams, R Davis, M Bank, Daequan Cook, E Barron (former PBA import) and Wright/Blount, (whoever isnt dealt to Bulls)

Now didn't that make sense for everyone?

ROSE IS NUMBER 1!

The hometown kid lands on the hometown team in the big league.

For Derrick Rose, he gets a great organization with a lot of history.

For the Bulls, they get a potentially franchise altering point guard who will definitely make them better this year.

All in all, it seems to be coming up roses for the Bulls and for Rose.

But soon enough, changes will be made in the Bulls roster. And that...is when the honeymoon fades and the marriage begins.

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME...

Would you draft Malik Rose with the Number 1 overall pick?

How about Fab Five alum Jalen Rose?

Didn't think so.

The truth of the matter is, this Rose is some kinda special. Despite not being a big point guard (like Jason Kidd), Derrick Rose has a reputation for toughness and good "D".

Despite his youth, Derrick Rose has a reputation for leadership and on-court maturity.

Despite his gaudy offensive numbers, Derrick Rose has a reputation for being a complete player, not just an offensive one.

And that may be the difference between being the first overall pick and the second overall pick.

SHAQ BLASTS KOBE!

Sometimes, you just wish Santa stuffed the Phoenix Suns versus La Lakers for the Western Conference Finals down our collective basketball socks.

Even without that scintillating match up, Shaq took the time to lay down some smack on Kobe anyway, proving that he is indeed a "big man" (bu only as far as size is concerned).

But for all that talk about the rap being a low blow, most of what Shaq said seemed true. And if it's also true that the reason Shaq is getting divorced is because Kobe lied about Shaq's deportment with the ladies, then Kobe should get dissed 24/7.

Anyways, here's Shaq's freestyle rap. You be the judge.
