But 16 year old Malvinne "Poca" Alcala seems destined to reach heights Lim could only dream of as she is on the path to becoming just the second Filipino to compete in Olympic badminton.
The reigning Singapore and Australian Juniors champion was also crowned champion in the second leg of the Philippine Badminton Ranking System held in Bacolod recently.
She is now set to compete, together with Joper Escueta, in the Badminton Asia U-19 Junior Championships that will be held in India in July.
