Patrombon suffered a finals defeat the hands of Andrew Whittington, 4-6, 6-7(3), at the 17th Sarawak Chief of Ministers Cup Tennis Championships.
It was Patrombon's first defeat to Whittington and is his second straight finals loss in the last month.
Patrombon hopes to break the streak at the Mistsubishi Lancer Junior Tennis Tournament this week. He has been installed as the top seed here and will likely be galvanized by the hometown fans to win this title.
