Mavs Take Game 1 121-112!

Two great scorers. Two great playmakers. Two good defensive big men. Two great benches.
There are some many things great about the Dallas Mavericks and the Oklahoma City Thunder that it's promising to be one of the most exciting playoff series in a while.

In Game 1, the Thunder's Kevin Durant scored 40points while the Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki scored 48 points. The Thunder's Russell Westbrook scored 20points but logged just 3 assists. The Mavs' Jason Kidd scored just 3 points but dished out 11 assists. OKC's Serge Ibaka and James Harden added 17 and 12 points respectively. Dallas' jason Terry and JJ Barea outscored them with 24 and 21 points respectively.

And, in the end, it came down to the superior scoring abilities of Nowitzki, who dominated the game from end to end. The Thunder threw a total of 6 defenders at Nowitzki but the big German either shot over them, drove on them or put them in foul trouble.
