With their backs against the wall, the Nationals could fold and blame their inexperience or fight back and show their true colors.
Evidently, the Nationals' bleed red, blue and white.
Like a rusty old machine finally getting some much needed oil, Smart Gilas stormed back from a 7 point halftime deficit to take a 7 point lead in the third quarter.
They were led by the scorching hot JV Casio, who scored 30 big points on the strength of 7-9 shooting from 3point land. He drew support from Marcus Douthit, who scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Aldrech Ramos, who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds.
The Nationals also drew good games from Marcio Lassiter who scored 8 points and 9 rebounds, Chris Tiu, who scored 2 points but grabbed 10 rebounds, and Japeth Aguilar, who scored 10points and grabbed 2 rebounds.
The Gin Kings got 30 points from import Nate Brumfield but barely anything else from the Ginaebra locals.
