Azkals Miss Key Pieces For Mongolia Match But Will They Miss Those Pieces For More Matches?

We already knew that Neil Etheridge and Chris Greatwich would not be able to join the Azkals for the March 15th match against the Blue Wolves of Mongolia.

But some recent developments on the professional lives of Etheridge and Greatwich have me very alarmed.


Etheridge has just been loaned by Fulham to the Charlton Athletic Club for a month. The Addicks, as they are called, might not be so inclined to let Etheridge go play for the Azkals in the first round of the AFC Challenge Cup, to be held in the last weeks of March.

Chris Greatwich, on the other hand, begged off from the Mongolia match because of work commitments. It looks like he could be begging off from more matches as he is now coaching full time in New Jersey. Does this mean Chris will no longer don the Azkals colors?
