After the Chicago Bulls made Luol Deng the 7th overall pick a few years back (a pick they got from the Suns for nothing), he repays them by first, refusing a 5 year 57.5Million contract offer last year in the hopes of getting an almost max type contract with an even better year, ends up with a horrendous year and yet wants even more money than before.
Shouldn't you demand more money for better performance and not for potentially better performance?
And now, he's trying to bully the Bulls into a corner by giving them a 2 week ultimatum...after which he threatens to never negotiate with the Bulls ever again.
In a perfect world, John Paxson will then trade the ungrateful Deng to the Grizzlies for Rudy Gay and Hakkim Warrick or to the Knicks, for Q Richardson and a 1st round draft pick.
Sadly, I think that John Paxson will give in to this new type of blackmailing and give Deng a contract he doesn't deserve in the first place.
