Iguodala For Ellis?

Would you exchange your high scoring, high flying guard for a do it all defender and dunkaholic?

Evidently, Golden State might. Whispers around the NBA have the Warriors talking to the about a Monta Ellis-Andre Iguodala swap.

The Sixers would probably do it because they want to further develop Evan Turner. They also have Thad Young and Andres Nocioni at that position so the Sixers would still be pretty solid at SF. Getting Ellis means no more Jodie Meeks at starting SG and about 20 more points from the SG spot every game.

The Warriors might do it because clearly, it's not Stephen Curry's team. And you can't have two guys in your backcourt with the same mindset (scoring) and the same deficiency (defense plus really, really small). With Iguodala, Warriors get a proven wing defender, a slasher who won't steal shots from Curry and an able rebounder to help David Lee.

More on this story here.

My thoughts? I say they pull the trigger on this one. More for the non-basketball side of it (both teams sending a message: Evan Turner and Stephen Curry are now THE MAN.)
