Ato Agustin Slams Chot Reyes Again!

And the coaching drama continues.

Petron's Ato Agustin claimed that TnT paid dearly for "choosing" their Finals opponents, implying that the Tropang Texters deliberately lost to Petron so that Baranggay Ginebra would be eliminated from the Finals picture.

Agustin also stated that he was out to defend the Grnad Slam achievement of the San Miguel Beermen back in 1989. He also claims several of his former teammates did not want TnT to join their Grand Slam ranks.

This comes on the heels of a controversial incident earlier in the series, when Agustin challenged Reyes to a fistfight.

In my opinion, Agustin may have won a championship but his attitude right now is that of a classless bully and a loser.

Marquez Aims For KO!

Is the third time the charm?

Juan Manuel Marquez certainly hopes so, as he battles Manny Pacquiao for the third time in their careers.

Marquez is still bitter of his 2 previous fights with Pacquiao, claiming that he won both despite the judges giving close victories to Pacquiao.

Now, Marquez wants to take the decision out of the judges' hands by knocking out the Filipino boxing superstar.

At stake is Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title as well as the mythical pound-for-pound title.

Rahim Moore Blasts Donald Jones!

Man, that was pretty brutal.

Petron Blazes To Championship!

This championship series had hard fouls and biting words thrown between bitter rivals. It had promises of retribution, desperate last-ditch stands and scorching hot basketball action. It even had one coach challenging another to a fistfight.

Yes, the PBA of the 80's is back. For this series, anyway.

Petron Blaze put an end to TnT's epic grand slam run by winning Game 7, 85-73. Arwind Santos and Anthony Grundy led the Blazers charge, while coach Ato Agustin drew inspired games from Denok Miranda, Danny Ildefonso and Alex Cabagnot.

TnT was led by Maurice Baker and the soon-to-be Gilas trio of Ranidel de Ocampo, Kelly Wliiams and Jimmy Alapag.

Kobe, CP3 Can't Play In China!

Kobe Bryant, say goodbye to your Chinese basketball career.

The Chinese Basketball Association issued the first in what is expected to be a series of rules and regulations regarding the possible entry of NBA players in the league.

This first rule may be the toughest one, as NBA superstars like Bryant, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul are now effectively banned from joining the league.

Only NBA free agents will be allowed to sign contract with the league and another restriction that will be imposed is that they have to stay for the entire season. This runs counter to the present contracts being signed by NBA players with other leagues, wherein an opt out clause is included.
