So we've gone through picks 1-5, now we move on to picks 6 to 10.
#6 Sacramento - Kristaps Porzingis. If the Knicks make the mistake of picking Porzingis up at #4, the Kings would be totally happy with Willie Cauley-Stein. But if it plays out the way I think it will, Porzingis is the best player available who can plug the most glaring weakness of the Kings: power forward. Jason Thompson is okay, Carl Landry is okay, even Rudy Gay is okay at PF. But Porzingis gives them the option of a sweet shooting stretch four who can be more than just okay.
#7 Denver - Justise Winslow. With all the really good bigs off the board, Denver gets the best player still available, who is still a very good one. Winslow has the skills to shift to shooting guard and not give up anything on either the offensive or defensive side of things. Denver can finally stop playing Randy Foye and Mike Malone may just be able to turn the Nuggets into the Warriors 2.0.
#8 Detroit - Mario Hezonja. On paper, the Pistons look solid at every other position: Jennings and Jackson at PG, Caldwell-Pope and Meeks at SG, Monroe and Ilyasova at PF and Drummond at C. At SF, they technically only have Tayshaun Prince, which makes that starting position Herzonja's to lose.
#9 Charlotte - Devin Booker. The Hornets are, like the Pistons, solid in basically every position. What they do need are more shooters, so that big man Al Jefferson can make defenses pay for doubling him. Also, Kemba Walker can be the one to shoot all those long bombs right?
#10 Miami - Stanley Johnson. After the departure of Lebron James, the Heat have been hard up for some offense, especially on the wings. The steep drop off in talent, reliability and production from Luol Deng to Michael Beasely makes Johnson the Heat's man.
So there you have it, my predictions for the top ten pick. Now, the only thing left to do is the picking. Good luck everyone!
