NBA FINALS: Predictions for Game 3

Yes, it's 1-1. The Cavs stole homecourt advantage from the Warriors with a pulsating win in overtime (again) 95-93.

This time, Lebron James notched a triple double, with a god-like stat line of 39 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists. Matthew Dellavedova delivered on some key free throws and spot on defense, forcing Steph Curry into an airball with 4.4 seconds left in overtime.

So does this spell the end for the Warriors?
A championship (finally) for the Cavs?
The start of a Cavaliers dynasty?

No, not yet and highly doubtful.

THE "NO"
I have always believed that no team with Lebron James in its starting line up can be considered an underdog. I wavered on that belief when Kyrie Irving went down. But Lebron has shown what folly it was to doubt his greatness. That being said, one win does not end a series. This is a game when one of the best shooters in the game went 2-15 on three pointers and 5-23 overall. How many games like that do you think Steph Curry will have? I think that may have been the first truly horrible shooting game he's had and I doubt he'll have another like that in this series. Which means that if Steph Curry shoots anywhere near his true averages, a game like this won't even go into overtime.

THE "NOT YET"
Lebron knows how to win championships. But with the rest of the Cavs key personnel still trying to learn, the Warriors have the advantage, by having seasoned players that have gone through postseason wins and losses. The Warriors have gone through many post season battles together and know how to contextualize wins and losses so that they don't affect the upcoming game. Much like the Miami Heat in Lebron's first year, the Cavs will need this year to figure out how to win a Finals series.

THE "HIGHLY DOUBTFUL"
The are simply too many teams that are championship-worthy. A healthy Thunder team. The Rockets with a healthy Patrick Beverley. The Chicago Bulls without the drama. Even the Clippers and Grizzlies, as well as the immortal Spurs. There are just too many great teams for ANY team to go on three-peats or establish a dynasty.

MY PREDICTION: Warriors steal back home court advantage, wins 90-85.
