When the chips were down, it was Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry, Jason Kidd, JJ Barea, Shawn Marion and Tyson Chandler who delivered the goods for their team, not Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslem.
And that is why the Dallas Mavericks are the ones holding up the NBA Trophy.
Jason Terry was red-hot in the first half, scoring 19 points on 8-10 shooting while Dirk Nowitzki bucked a 9-27 shooting night to score repeatedly in the fourth quarter and put the game out of reach.
Miami's Big Three had good games, with Lebron James scoring 21 points, Chris Bosh scoring 19 and Dwayne Wade had 17 points. Mario Chalmers also had a good game, scoring 18 points and taking charge in the fourth, when Wade and James seemed unwilling to.
So congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks!
