Azkals Rout Germans In Exhibition Game!

This is the kind of performance we've come to expect from the Azkals.

Phil Younghusband flashed his deadly form as he scored a brace, brother James added another goal and Chieffy Caligdong also got into the act with a goal as the Azkals beat the Achen-Duren Selection 4-1.

The German team was composed of 4th and 5th division players of the Bundesliga. Angel Guirado, though absent from the scoreboard, was the most dominant player on the Azkals side, according to team officials. His presence forced the German to double and even triple team him, freeing up the Younghusbands and Caligdong to score their goals.

This is a far cry from the Azkals performance when they were beaten by a UFL selection 2 weeks ago.

The Azkals have 3 more exhibition matches before going up against Sri Lanka on June 29.
