Patrombon In Finals!

Patrombon's pursuit of history continues.

The Pinoy junior netter had to survive cramps and a steady Padja Krstin from Serbia to eke out a 4-6, 6-2 7-6 victory and go on to the final round.

Patrombon fell prey to a series of errors in the first set before calming his nerves and finding his game in the second set.

Cramps started to bother him in the third set and he had to call a medical timeout after limping around the court. But, inspired by the hometown cheers, the Filipino netter buckled down and got the win.

He faces a formidable foe in the final round, Australian Andrew Whittington. Whittington beat Patrombon just last week in the Chief Minister's Cup in Malaysia.

More of the story, here.
