Azkals 1, Bahrain 2!

Not bad against an Olympic team.

The Azkals played competently against Bahrain's U-23 team, which is Bahrain's Olympic Team, yielding just two goals while scoring one of their own.

Bahrain struck first as a left footed shot from a Bahraini made it pas Eduard Sacapano. Somehow, looking at the game footage, I believe that if Neil Etheridge was int he game, the score would have been 1-1.

However, Bahrain's second goal was a masterpiece, an exquisite pass that led to a one-on-one between a Bahraini striker and Sacapano. Definitely not Sacapano's fault, the Azkals defense really let him down there.

Chieffy Caligdong continued to shine as he struck a magnificent shot from over thirty yards away and score a brillaint goal over the extremely surprised Bahraini goalkeeper.

The Azkals were playing without several key players like Etheridge, Phil Younghusband, Angel Guirado, Stephan Schrock, Ally Borromeo and Paul Mulders so this result is indeed very encouraging.
