SINGAPORE SEA GAMES: Sepak Takraw Men Outduels Hometown Bets For Place In Finals Match!

Analysis: It would have been easier to just give up. After all, the Philippine Men's Sepak Takraw Team just got beaten up by Team Singapore to the tune of 21-12, in a match taking place in Singapore.

Add to that the fact that the Singaporean team was leading 18-16 late in the second set, just 3 points away from booking a place in the gold medal match.

And then, PUSO happened. The Pinoy trio of Emmanuel Escote, Rheyjey Ortouste and team captain Jason Huerte refused to give up and stormed back to win the second set.

In the third set, Singapore started off strong and seemed to have regained their groove but the Philippine team simply would not be denied. They slowly whittled away at the Singaporeans' lead, rattling them so bad the Singaporeans started blowing even their services. The Philippine team got even stronger as the match went on, demoralizing the home team with a relatively easy third set victory.

The team now goes on to face a strong Myanmar team, hoping to add to the Philippines' gold medal tally.
