Nasty Internet Rumor: Azkals Rape Girl

Let me be the first to say that this rumor stinks, it's nasty and hurtful, it comes from an unreliable source and it reeks of jealousy.

But just so the Philippine sporting community is kept informed, here is the rumor.

A person named Paul Weiler is spreading the rumor that four members of the Philippine Azkals, namely goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, Anton del Rosario, Jason Sabio and Simon Greatwich have raped a girl in Azkals manager Dan Palami's house.

Weiler is alleging that the Azkals picked up a girl in a bar, brought her home, had "fun" with her and videotaped the entire encounter. When the girl found out about the videotape, she demanded it be erased, the Azkals supposedly denied its existence and threw her out, which is why the girl is supposedly filing rape charges.

This rumor is clearly the work of an unhinged man, who is still harboring delusions of grandeur and importance. Paul Weiler has already been exposed several times by different people as a scam artist and a liar (click this link) and he still continues to make trouble for other people.

I think we should just ignore the ignorant prattling of Paul Weiler and let the Azkals train in peace.

What the hell are you talking about? The story is true and not a mere rumor! maybe you are one of the many paid by management to destroy the credibilities of the people exposing the crime committed by the 4 Azkals! By the way, for your information, Atty. Pol Sangcalan is the lawyer of the poor girl! Soon they will be filing the case against the 4 accused including the management who tried hard to cover-up the expose! Don't you ever wonder why Mr. Goalie Neil E. left the team and went home to his Ole England?!

SO IT IS TRUE AND ALL MR. PALAMI WORRIES IS TO LOSE THE POTENTIAL OF THE AZKALS TO GET MORE AD ENDORSEMENTS AND SPONSORSHIPS! SHAME ON YOU AND SHAME ON ALL PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE COVER-UP!

One, I'd have respected your opinion more if you were brave enough to put your name under your comment. But I will defend your right to hide under the name "Anonymous".
Two, I'd have respected (both of) your comments if you didn't cut and paste the exact same comments across 20-30 blogs and articles weighing in on this rumor. What, you couldn;t rephrase the exact same thought 20-30 times? Put a little effort into it.
Three, ever hear of the phrase "Innocent until proven guilty?" I have and until Mr. Weiler can prove his allegations, I will presume the Azkals innocent.
Four, I am not part of a cover up. I do not earn money from this blog. In fact, I basically waste time and money just to write this blog. I do not know Mr. Palami or any of the Azkals. The closest I've been to an Azkal is when I watch them on TV. So before you accuse me of being paid to cover up a rape incident, I suggest you look for evidence then PROVE IT!

Five, I checked with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines for a lawyer named Pol Sangcalan. Guess what? No such lawyer. No Atty. Apollo Sangcalan either. No Apolinario Sangcalan either. No lawyer with a surname of Sangcalan, whatever permutations you may have on his first name. So again, how do I contact this lawyer so I can hear the girl's side of the story?

New info. Seems like the lawyer in question is Atty Apollo Sangalang. So he is a real person after all...and he issued a statement saying his client is not yet ready to make a statement. Let's wait and see then.
