Heat Wins Over Celtics!

It felt like the NBA Finals already. Or at least, the Conference Finals.

There were a lot of tough D, a lot of tough shots made and a lot of T's flying around. There was even an ejection, courtesy of Paul Pierce. In the end, there was only one winner...and they hail from Miami.

The Heat rode on the exploits of the exploits of Dwayne Wade (38 points) and the surprising James Jones (25points on 5-7 FG from 3 and 10-10 from the FT line). They were also responsible for the ejection of Paul Pierce.

Pierce took exception to a James Jones hard foul and practically headbutted Jones during the break. They were assessed double-technicals. 50 seconds later, it was Paul Pierce throwing a ferocious screen at Wade followed by a stream of obscenities. He received his second technical and left the game with 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Lebron James had 25points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the Heat. Ray Allen had 25 points, Paul Pierce scored 19 and Delonte West had 10. Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo were conspicuously ineffective in Game 1.

Here's the video of Pierce being ejected.
